Portland Maine in Winter

Walked around town with a friend. We had no particular destination and ended up near the Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum.

Lighthouses & Warehouses

We went everywhere today. I wanted to go to Spring Point to take a picture of the lighthouse with snow on the rocks ultimately. While trying to drive there, I forgot how to get there for a second, and took a wrong turn. We ended up at Bug Light, so I decided since I was there, I may as well take pictures.



Then I remembered how to get to Spring Point (We should've taken a right not a left) and we went there.



After stopping by two lighthouses, we decided to keep going. Portland Headlight wasn't far off, so we headed there.



While we were at it, we decided to check out the lighthouse near the Two Lights Park entrance. It didn't seem that impressive to me for some reason, so I mostly just took pictures of the rocks near the ocean which were covered with snow.



We decided to end the day with something totally different. We went to the area near the boxing club in Portland, and took pictures of the old abandoned buildings.

Portland at night & The Awesome

On my way into town with a friend, I decided to take some pictures. The snowflakes were huge, and I'm not too familiar with night-time or snow photography. It wasn't too cold out, so it was pretty fun!



I stopped by the Lava Lounge for a minute and took a few pictures. I really like this one. It's a turntable with the light the dj's use to see what they're doing if you can't figure it out!



Then I went to the Big Easy and took a few pictures of "The Awesome" an 80's cover band.



When the night was almost over, I met up again with my friend, and walked back home. Here are a few pictures I took on the way back when the snow had stopped. I drive by that sign every day, and it always weirds me out. Not quite sure who put the picture of the weird looking man in nothing but underpants..

Stroudwater Trail & Calvary Cemetery in Winter

Went with a friend to Stroudwater Trail in Portland, ME. After the hike we decided to stop by Calvary Cemetery as well, though didn't stay too long. It was VERY cold out. Hard to take pictures when your hands are cold and all you want to do is take a picture quickly so you can put your hands back in your pockets. I'll be buying some linings and mittens that will hopefully work well for future cold weather expeditions.
