Since I didn't have much time to take pictures yesterday, I tried again. Unfortunately it was later in the afternoon and the sun doesn't like to stay out anymore. I was again rushed to take some pictures. These were in Baxter Woods on Forest Avenue in Portland Maine.
I was on the way to the store for somebody when I noticed how pretty everything looked and decided to take pictures instead. I was in a hurry so I unfortunately didn't take many, but here are some. The first one was taken near my house, I just wanted to capture the frozen grass.
I went for a hike with my brother and his dog today at Bradbury Mountain State Park. Though I'd say the peak colors are gone, there is still some color out there.
After seeing the quarry and hiking a little bit, we reached the summit. I had hiked here before and remembered it being a quick hike.
Around the summit.
This tree was pretty cool, it seemed to branch out and form more trees.
More pictures from hiking around on random trails.
And then as we headed back to the parking lot, everything was very orange..
One of a few areas with picnic tables.
As we left I took one last picture of the sun going down behind the trees.
On the way to Grafton Notch State Park, we got stuck behind a foot race..
While we were putting along, I took some pictures from the window.
And there they are celebrating. I celebrated too because we could finally go the speed limit! In good humor..I'm sure it was a good reason they were racing. :)
I took this picture from the car when we were going the speed limit!
I had my friend stop the car for this picture..
We stopped the car one more time before entering Grafton Notch State Park.
Our first stop was Screw Auger Falls.
And then we went over to Mother Walker Falls.
Driving through Evans Notch.
The foliage is always wonderful here during this time of year.
And I have no idea how we got here or what this is called, but we found this out of the way waterfall which was very pretty.
