It's too bad

I went out a few times and took pictures with my broken camera, just to decide I wasn't really happy with not knowing what setting it's on ever. Spring is one of my favorite seasons of the year, so I feel bad that my camera just happened to break a month or so before it started.

In good news..I've looked over my budget ,and it looks like I'll be able to afford a new camera by the end of this month. I'll be buying my first digital SLR, which really excites me!

When one door closes, another one opens right? I won't miss too much of the spring, and I'll have a new toy to play with soon. :)

Asbury Park, NJ & the American Museum of Natural History in NYC

Sunday, we were going to spend some time in Philadelphia, but it was so rainy that we decided to just head to Atlantic City instead. The next day, while still in New Jersey, we decided to check out Asbury Park. The beach area has been abandoned, but a lot of construction is going on. It seems they're trying to get it back up and running.

It started raining again soon after our visit and after we stopped for breakfast. Options seemed limited, so we decided to head to New York City and try to find something to do. Of course, going to a museum is the perfect thing for a rainy day. We checked out the American Museum of Natural History. Unfortunately we got there with only two hours to closing, and a lot of things had been closed for the day. I thought two hours would be plenty of time for the museum, but soon realized it was a day trip. They had a lot to see! Here are just a few exhibits..

I saw a cute squirrel eating while leaving, so took a picture of that..Then the last picture is of really old camera's at the apartment we stayed at on our last night of our road trip. Despite the rain, and hardly getting any sleep, it was a nice trip.

Abandoned Factory in PA and Centralia, PA

Drove through Pennsylvania today heading to Centralia. Along the way, we took a side street which I'm not remembering the name of. It led to some abandoned factories. Even though it was raining and cold, we decided to get out and explore. The roof was leaking, but the factory provided shelter from the storm.

The wind was pretty strong and my hands were freezing, so I didn't spend as much time here as I would have liked to. We decided to continue on to Centralia. Luckily the rain had died down during our whole visit to Centralia. Then of course as we were leaving it picked up again..

Paulinskill Viaduct in New Jersey

Went on a road trip over the weekend. Drove from Maine, to Connecticut, then we decided to go to New Jersey.
Right before the Nor'easter hit, and right as the sun was going down, we found the Paulinskill Viaduct in New Jersey. The first picture was taken on top of the viaduct, the rest were taken of and inside of it.
