An Apartment Basement..

While down in the basement doing laundry, I look around and suddenly the urge to take pictures develops. I get my camera and go back down.

Here we go..walking down the stairs.

As you turn left..

Looking up..

The general basement area

And lastly, a very nifty object I saw and had to take a picture of it.

Sugarloaf area

Went to my mother's for the weekend, and decided to take some photo's while there. We went on a very long drive, without having a destination. I only stopped a few times. We drove almost all the way to Bingham, then back through N. Anson, then to Sugarloaf, then through Farmington, then back to Madison. Took a lot of gas, and probably wasn't worth it, but oh well. I told my mom we'd have to go to Bar Harbor this summer. I really don't know how to sight-see in the winter without cross country skiing or something. Too cold to really walk around without boots and stuff for long periods of time, and it's hard to take pictures when you don't have a real destination..

Lesson learned. It's hard to take good pictures when you have no idea where you're going. (Of course there's always an exception.)

Photography Merchandise

I bought a mug and a mouse pad with my work, on Sunday. Snapfish, or shutterfly had less expensive mouse pads, and imagestation.com had really cheap mugs. Now I'll be able to see what my work looks like on two different items.

Bumble Bee Puzzle

Today I decided to look into some photography stuff. My mom really likes my bumble bee picture and told me she wanted a puzzle of it, so I went online and ordered her a copy for her birthday. I also used the same service to order 10 prints for free (besides shipping). My portfolio is growing very very slowly.. I should sift through my stuff and find more pictures that I want to add to it.

I'm also looking at photo submission guidelines for a lot of different places. They expect a lot, bad news for me The only digital submissions most places accept are from like 11 megapixel camera's. I need a new camera apparently (eventually). I'll continue my search though. At the very least I'll be able to see what these places are asking for, so that I'll be better prepared for those situations.

Also, I don't necessarily have to sell my photo's that I've already taken this way. I can sell them directly, and even maybe use my site to allow people to buy things like puzzles with my work.
